Alex was born and raised in Del Mar, California. She attended the conservatory at "AMDA" (The American Musical and Dramatic Academy), graduating from their Los Angeles campus (where she is an adjunct faculty professor in their acting department) and "The New School University", New York, where she received a BFA in Musical Theatre. She obtained her Masters degree in theatre studies from California State University, Northridge. Alex has also graduated and/or studied with IO West, UCB, Second City and The Groundlings' improv programs. She has done sketch/comedy work on shows, such as Jimmy Kimmel Live! (2003), After Lately (2011), Chelsea Lately (2007) and Showtime's House of Lies (2012): Flight Club. She has performed improvisation weekly on the iO West MainStage, Nerdist, and Beetle House LA with her all female improv team Pumps! And with Second City Hollywood, ACME NoHo and iO West house teams. Aside from TV shows & film, Alex can also be seen in a variety of commercials, from Casio Cameras, Southwest Airlines, PNC Bank, Big 10 Network and a sexy Carl's Jr campaign, just to name a few. When not acting, Alex enjoys yoga & spending time with her adorable rescued LA street dog, Victoria Barkham.
